Rua Norte means ‘Northern Street’ in Portuguese. We’ve taken influence from our home in Manchester to southern Europe where our garments are produced.
Why Portugal? Highest quality textile production and fair treatments of its workers aligned best our brands vision. It was important for us to provide you with a collection suitable for the everyday while retaining a high quality ensuring an element of luxury.
Our manufacturers is a small family run factory, based just North of Porto. In a world impacted by large corporations it was important we considered our brands footprint on the environment. Working with them we only produce in small batch sizes and all our garments are finished by hand which helps to keep waste to a minimum and to ensure all our clothes last. Our cotton is processed local to the factory (less than 15 miles away) keeping transport pollution down and helping support the community that we operate within.
Packaging and stickers are either made from recyclable or compostable material and any dying or processing is done with none toxic water-based and Oeko-Tex certified solutions.
